Paraphrase

அரி அயன் அறியாதவர் ( ari ayan ariyAdhavar) : He could not be perceived even by Vishnu and BrahmA;

எரி புரமூணு அது புக நகை ஏவிய நாதர் (eripura mUN adhu puga nagai Eviya nAthar) : He burnt down the triple forts of Thiripuram by a mere smile; புர(ம்) மூணு(puram mUN) : three forts, Thripura; நகை(nagai) : smile;

அவிர் சடைமிசை ஓர் வனிதையர் பதி (avirsadai misaiyOr vanithaiyar pathi) : He is the master of Ganga river whom He carries on His tresses; அவிர் (avir) : bright and sparkling;

சீறு அழலையும் மழு நேர் பிடிநாதர் (seeR azhalaiyu mazhu nEr pidinAthar ) : He holds in His hands, the ravaging fire and a pick-axe;

வரை மகள் ஒரு கூறுடையவர் (varai magaL oru kUR udaiyavar) : He shares His body with PArvathi, the daughter of HimavAn (Mount);

மதனாகமும் விழ விழி ஏவிய நாதர் (madhanAgamum vizha vizhi yEviya nAthar) : and with His fiery eye on the forehead, He rendered the body of Manmathan (Love God) into ashes; ஆகம்(Agam) : body;

மனமகிழ் குமரா (manamagizh kumarA) : You gladden the heart of That Lord Siva, Oh KumarA!

என உனது இருதாள் மலரடி தொழுமாறு அருள்வாயே (ena unadhiru thAL malaradi thozhumAR aruLvAyE) : Kindly grant me that I worship Your lotus feet,contemplating on You as above.

அருவரை இரு கூறிட (aruvarai iru kURida) : You split the rare mountain (Krounchamalai) into two and

ஒரு மயில் மேல் அவனியை வலமாய் வருவோனே ( oru mayil mEl avaniyai valamAy varuvOnE) : circumambulated the world on Your unique Peacock.

அமரர்கள் இகல் நீடு அசுரர்கள் சிர மேல் (amarargaL igal needu asurargaL siramEl) : On the heads of the asuras who are hostile to DEvAs,

அயில்தனை விசையாய் விடுவோனே ( ayil thanai visaiyAy viduvOnE) : You throw Your spear extremely fast!

வரிசையொடு ஒருமா தினை தரு வனமே ( varisaiyod orumA thinai tharu vanamE) : To the forest where there are rows of robust millet fields,

மருவி ஓர் குறமாது அணை வேடா (maruvi or kuRa mAdhu aNai vEdA) : You went in the disguise of a hunter to woo and hug VaLLi, the hunter girl.

மலைகளில் மகிழ்வாய் ( malaigaLil magizhvAy) : You revel in the mountains!

மருவி நல் வடுகூர் வரு தவ முநிவோர் பெருமாளே.(maruvinal vadukUr varuthava munivOr perumALE.) : For those sages who come with devotion to this place VadukUr, You are very dear, Oh Great One! மனம் பொருந்தி நல்ல வடுகூர் என்ற தலத்தில் வருகிற தவமுனிவர்களின் பெருமாளே! மருவி = மனம் பொருந்தி;
