வானவர் எவர்களும் ஈடேற (vAnavar evargaLum eedERa ) : all the DEvAs were rescued;
ஏழ்கடல் முறையோ என்று இடர்பட (Ezhkadal muRaiyOvendru idarpada) : the seven seas screamed asking if it was fair for them to suffer,
மாமேரு பூதரம் இடிபடவேதான் (mAmEru bUtharam idipada vEdhA) : the great mountain MEru (KailAsh) was pulverized; பூதரம் (bootharam) : mountain;

மரகத ஆகார ஆயனும் (marakatha AkAra Ayanum ) : Vishnu, with emerald green complexion, ஆயன் (Ayan) : shepherd; here, Krishna / Vishnu;
இரணிய ஆகார வேதனும் (iraNiya AkAra vEdhanum) : BrahmA, with golden colour, இரணிய (iraNiya) : golden;
வசுவெனும் ஆகார ஈசனும் அடி பேண மயிலுறை வாழ்வே (vasuvenum AkAra eesanum adi pENa mayiluRai vAzhvE) : and SivA, with the complexion of fire, together worship Your feet when You mount Your peacock! வசு (vasu) : fire;
விநாயக மலையுறை வேலா (vinAyaka malaiyuRai vElA) : Oh VElA, You reside at VinAyagamalai (PillaiyArpatti)!
