சுடர் அனைய திருமேனியுடை அழகு (sudar anaiya thirumEniudai azhagu) : With the radiant beauty of Your body, கதிர் போன்ற திருமேனியின் வடிவழகும்,

முது ஞான சொருப கிரி இட மேவு முகம் ஆறும் (muthu gnAna sorupa kiriyida mEvu mugam ARum) : Your form embodied with mature knowledge and Your six crowned faces, முற்றின ஞான ஸ்வரூபமும், கிரீடம் சூடிய முகங்கள் ஆறும், கிரியிடம் (kiriyidam) : crown, கிரீடம்;

சுரர் தெரியல் அளி பாட (surar theriyal aLi pAda) : the beetles humming around the garlands offered to You by the DEvAs, தேவர்கள் சூட்டிய மாலைகளில் இருக்கும் வண்டுகள் முரல, தெரியல் (theriyal) : பூமாலை;

மழலை கதி நறை பாய (mazhalai gathi naRai pAya) : the slowly dripping honey drops from those flowers, அம்மாலைகளிலிருந்து மெதுவான வேகத்தில் துளித்துளியாக தேன் சொட்ட, மழலை கதி (mazhalai gathi) : slow movement;

துகிர் இதழின் மொழி வேத மணம் வீச (thugir ithazhin mozhi vEtha maNam veesa) : the fragrance of VEdAs emanating from Your coral-colored lips, பவள வாய் இதழிலிருந்து சொல்லப்படும் வேத மொழிகளின் நறுமணம் வீச, துகிர் (thugir) : coral, பவளம்;

அடியன் இரு வினை நீறு பட (adiyan iru vinai neeRu pada) : so that both my good and bad deeds are destroyed! அடியேனுடைய நல்வினை, தீவினை ஆகிய இரண்டும் பொடிபட்டு அழிய,

அமரர் இது பூரை அதிசயம் என அருள் பாட வரவேணும் (amarar ithu pUrai athisayam ena aruL pAda vara vENum) : and DEvAs sing Your glory, amazed why such a useless person like me is being showered with grace by You! தேவர்கள் யாவரும் ஒன்றுக்கும் உதவாத எனக்கு நீஅருள் செய்வது எவ்வளவு ஆச்சரியம் என்று உன்னருளைப் போற்றிப் பாடும்படியாக, நீ எழுந்தருளி வரவேண்டும். பூரை (poorai) : a mere nothing;

விடை பரவி அயன் மாலொடு அமரர் முநி கணமோட (vidai paravi ayan mAlodu amarar muni kaNamOda) : The DEvA battalion headed by BrahmA and Vishnu worshipped Nandi, the Sacred Bull, before நந்தி தேவனைப் போற்றி வணங்கி, (அவர் அனுமதியுடன்) பிரமன், திருமால், மற்ற தேவர்கள், முநிவர் கூட்டங்களுடன் ஓடிவந்து சரணடைய,

மிடறு அடைய விடம் வாரி அருள் நாதன் (midaRu adaiya vidamvAri aruL nAthan) : surrendering to Lord SivA, who bestowed His grace on them by swallowing the fierce poison and holding it in His throat; தமது கண்டத்திலேயே தங்கி நிற்கும்படியாக விஷத்தை வாரி உண்டு சரணடைந்தவர்களுக்கு அருள் செய்த தலைவனும்,

மினலனைய இடை மாது இடமருவு குருநாதன் (minal anaiya idai mAthu idamaruvu gurunAthan) : that SivA, who as DhakshinamUrthi, held PArvathi, whose waist is narrow and bright as the lightning, on His left side; மின்னலை ஒத்த இடையை உடைய பார்வதி தேவியை தமது இடப்பாகத்தில் பொருந்தி வைத்துள்ள தக்ஷிணாமூர்த்தியாகிய சிவபிரான்

மிக மகிழ அநுபூதி அருள்வோனே (miga magizha anubUthi aruLvOnE) : was enthralled to listen to Your preaching of the VEdic wisdom. மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைய அவருக்கு ஞானோபதேசப் பிரசாதம் தந்தவனே,

இடர் கலிகள் பிணியோட எனையும் அருள் ( idar kaligaL piNiyOda enaiyum aruL) : You must also kindly condescend to bestow Your grace on me so that my miseries, evil effects of planets and all diseases are driven away! துன்பங்களும், கிரகக் கோளாறுகளும், நோய்களும் விலக, என்னையும் ஒரு பொருளாகக் கருதி அருள்வாயாக.

குறமாதின் இணை இளநிர் முலை மார்பின் அணை மார்பா (kuRa mAthin iNai iLanir mulai mArbin aNai mArbA) : You have a broad chest that embraces the large bosoms of VaLLi, the damsel of the KuRavAs! குறப்பெண் வள்ளியின் இளநீர் போன்ற மார்பில் அணையும் மார்பனே,

இனிய முது புலிபாதனுடன் அரவு சதகோடி இருடியர்கள் (iniya muthu pulipAthanudan aravu sathakOdi irudiyargaL) : The ecstatic old sage, VyAkrapAthar, along with Sage Pathanjali in a serpent's form and a hundred million other spiritual savants, இன்ப நிலையில் உள்ள முதிய முநி வியாக்ரபாதருடன் பாம்பின் உருவில் உள்ள பதஞ்சலி முநிவரும், நூறு கோடி ரிஷிகளும் அரவு (aravu) : serpent; இருடி (irudi) : sage;

புகழ் ஞான பெருமாளே. (pugazh gnAna perumALE.) : are all praising You, an embodiment of wisdom, Oh Great One! புகழ்கின்ற ஞான மூர்த்தியாம் பெருமாளே.
