நாளு மிகுத்த கசிவாகி (nALu miguththa kasivAgi) : My mind, saturated everyday, made tender and infused with love, நாள்தோறும் மிகுந்த அன்பு ஊறி நெகிழ்ந்த மனத்தினனாய்,

ஞான நிருத்தம் அதை நாடும் ( nyAna niruththam adhai nAdum) : seeks the vision of Your dancing posture, manifesting Wisdom. உனது நடனக் கோலத்தைக் காண விரும்பும்

ஏழை தனக்கும் அநுபூதி (Ezhai thanakkum anubUthi) : In order that I, lowly and poor, experience bliss; எளியோனாகிய எனக்கும் அனுபவஞானம் என்னும்

ராசி தழைக்க அருள்வாயே (rAsi thazhaikka aruLvAyE) : I seek Your gracious blessing for receiving that good fortune! பாக்கியம் பொருந்தி பெருகி விளங்க அருள் புரிவாயாக.

பூளை எருக்கு மதி நாக பூணர் அளித்த சிறியோனே (pULai erukku madhinAga pUNar aLiththa siRiyOnE) : He wears on His tresses the pULai (Indian laburnum) flower, the erukkam leaf, the crescent moon and the serpent that SivA has delivered You as His child! பூளைப்பூ, எருக்கு இலை, பிறைச் சந்திரன், பாம்பு ஆகியவற்றை சடையிலே அணிந்துள்ள சிவபெருமான் அளித்த குழந்தையே,
