தோரண கனக வாசலில் முழவு தோல் முரசு அதிர (thOraNa kanaga vAsalil muzhavu thOl murasu adhira) : As drums and other leather percussion instruments boom at the festooned golden gates of the palatial house, தோரணங்கள் கட்டிய அழகிய பொன்மயமான (அரண்மனை) வாசலில், முழவு, தோல், முரசு முதலிய வாத்தியம் ஒலிக்க,

முதிராத தோகையர் கவரி வீச (mudhirAdha thOgaiyar kavari veesa) : with young damsels gently wave the hand-held fans made of peacock feathers, இளம் பருவப் பெண்கள் சாமரம் வீச,

வயிரியர் தோள்வலி புகழ (vayiriyar thOLvali pugazha ) : with eminent singers singing in praise of my valour, புகழ்ந்து பாடும் பாடகர்கள் என் புஜ பராக்ரமத்தைப் புகழ, வயிரியர் (vayiriyar) : bards, பாணர், அரசர் முன்னிலையில் பாடி பரிசு பெறுவோர்;

மதகோப வாரண ரத பதாகினி துரக (madha kOpa vAraNaratha padhAgini thuraga) : with rows of armies of wild and angry elephants, chariots, soldiers and horses, மதமும் கோபமும் கொண்ட யானைகள், தேர்கள், காலாட்படைகள், குதிரைகள்

மாதிர நிறைய (mAdhira niRaiya) : spread out in all the directions திசை நிரம்பி விளங்க,

அரசாகி வாழினும் வறுமை கூரினு (arasAgi vAzhinum vaRumai kUrinu) : whether I rule as a king with all the paraphernalia (described above) or I am in the deep clutches of poverty,

நினது வார் கழல் ஒழிய மொழியேனே (ninadhu vArkazha lozhiya mozhiyEnE) : I shall not praise anything or anyone else but Your hallowed feet!

பூரண புவன காரண (pUraNa buvana kAraNa) : Oh Lord who is absolutely perfect! You are the cause of this entire universe!

சவரி பூதர புளக தனபார பூஷண (savari bUdhara puLaka thanabAra bUshaNa) : You bejewel Your chest with the mountain-like pretty bosoms of VaLLi, the damsel of the KuRavAs! குறப்பெண் வள்ளியின் மலையைப் போன்ற பெரிய இனிய மார்பகங்களை அணிந்த மார்பனே, சவரி (savari) : a woman of the hunter tribe, குறத்தி;

நிருதர் தூஷண (nirudhar dhUshaNa) : You condemn the demons! அசுரர்களை நிந்தித்துக் கண்டிப்பவனே,

விபுதர் பூபதி நகரி குடியேற (vibudhar bUpathi nagari kudiyERa) : Enabling IndrA, the Lord of the Celestials, to resettle in the celestial land, தேவர்களின் தலைவனான இந்திரன் அமரலோகத்தில் மீண்டும் குடியேறும்படியும், விபுதர் (viputhar) : devas, celestials; பூபதி (bhoopathi) : king of the celestials, Indra;

ஆரண வனச ஈரிரு குடுமி ஆரியன் வெருவ (AraNa vanaja eeriru kudumi Ariyan veruva) : and terrifying BrahmA, the great preacher of VEdAs who is seated on the lotus and who has four tufts, வேதம் ஓதுபவனும், தாமரையில் அமர்ந்தவனும், நான்கு குடுமிகளை உடையவனும் ஆகிய பெரியோனாம் பிரமன் அச்சம் கொள்ளும்படியாகவும்,

மயிலேறும் ஆரிய (mayilERum Ariya) : You mount Your peacock, Oh Wise One!

பரம ஞானமும் அழகும் ஆண்மையும் உடைய பெருமாளே.(parama nyAnamum azhagum ANmaiyum udaiya perumALE.) : You possess the supreme knowledge, magnificence and valour, Oh Great One!
