காதி மோதி வாதாடு நூல் கற்றிடுவோரும் (kAdhi mOdhi vAdhAdu nUl katriduvOrum) : People who argue and debate, basing their arguments on (controversial) religious texts, எதிர்த்துப் பேசியும், தாக்கியும், வாதம் செய்யவல்ல நூல்களைக் கற்றவர்களும், காதி (kAthi) : வெட்டுதல் போல் பேசி;

காசு தேடி ஈயாமல் வாழப் பெறுவோரும் (kAsu thEdi eeyAmal vAzhap peRuvOrum) : people who earn wealth but spend their lives tight without giving alms, and

மாது பாகர் வாழ்வே என நெக்கு உருகாரும் (mAdhupAgar vAzhvEenA nekku urugArum) : people whose hearts do not melt in praising You as the Treasure of SivA who has PArvathi by His side - all these; பார்வதி பாகன் சிவபிரானது செல்வமே என்று உன்னை நினைந்து உள்ளம் உருகாதவர்களும்,

மாறிலாத மா காலனூர் புக்கு அலைவாரே ( mARilAdha mAkAlanUr pukkalaivArE) : will wander about going back and forth to the place of the Death-God (Yaman) who never discriminates. தர்ம நெறி மாறாத பெரும் யமதர்மபுரிக்கு புகுந்து பிறந்து புகுந்து அலைச்சல் உறுவார்கள்.

நாத ரூப (nAdha rUpa) : You are the form of Divine Music!

மா நாதர் ஆகத்து உறைவோனே (mA nAthar Agaththu uRaivOnE) : You are cherished in the heart of the Greatest Deva, namely SivA! மகாதேவர் சிவனின் உள்ளத்தில் வீற்றிருப்போனே;
OR
மா நாத ராகத்து உறைவோனே (mA nAtha rAgaththu uRaivOnE) : One who resides in the music composed in best raagas; சிறந்த ஒலிகளை எழுப்பும் ராகங்களில்/இசைப் பண்களில் பொலிந்து விளங்குபவனே;

நாக லோகம் ஈரேழு பாருக்கு உரியோனே (nAgalOkam eerEzhu pAruk uriyOnE) : You reside in all the fourteen worlds, including Heaven.

தீது இலாத வேல் வீர (theedhu ilAdha vEl veera) : You hold the Spear that can never do any harm.

சேவற் கொடியோனே(sEvaR kodiyOnE) : You have hoisted Your flag of the Rooster.

தேவ தேவ தேவாதி தேவப் பெருமாளே.(dhEva dhEva dhEvAdhi dhEvap perumALE.) : You are the God of all Gods! You are the Super Lord, Oh Great One!
