அண்டர் உலகும் சுழல எண்திசைகளும் சுழல அங்கியும் உடன் சுழலவே (aNdar ulagum suzhala eN dhisaigaLum suzhala angiyum udan suzhalavE): The world of celestials spun; the eight directions of the earh spun and along with them, the god of Fire spun too; அங்கி (angi ): fire;

அலை கடல்களும் சுழல அவுணர் உயிரும் சுழல அகில தலமும் சுழலவே (alai kadalgaLum suzhala avuNar uyirum suzhala akila thalamum suzhalavE): The wavy seas spun; the lives of the demons spun, as also the entire cosmos;

கந்தன் முருகன் குமரன் வண்குறவர் தம் புதல்வி கணவன் அடல் கொண்ட வேலே.(kandhan murugan kumaran vaN kuRavar tham pudhalvi kaNavan adal koNda vElE): He is Kanthan, Murugan, Kumaran and the consort of the daughter of the fierce hunter; the vel in His hands is the weapon whose power is described in the first half of the poem.
